Bed(ouining) and breakfast in the desert/s

Left Cairo on Monday for our desert trip, up nice and early.
Found that our 3 Bedouin drivers had somehow managed to get their landcruisers into the narrow streets near our hotel, so we packed our gear up and headed off.

Finally got out of Cairo and onto clearer (and cleaner) roads where we could appreciate some of the scenery (little suburbs going up all over the place). First stop was to look at a petrified forest (couple of logs in the sand but good for a leg stretch), then out onto the real highways where they could get the cruisers moving at about 140k/h (still getting overtaken by mercs stuffed full of people).
