Headed down to Warnambool for a long weekend to catch up with our long term, now ex next door neighbours, the Roses.
Made it to Traralgon on the Thursday night and then up in the morning to have brunch with all the local family and then off to
Warnambool. Made it through Melbourne before friday lunchtime and peakhour and then settled into the long trip.
Arrived around 4 and managed to get down the beach to enjoy some of the nice weather we'd had most of the way. Slept that night in the large tent on the back lawn (house was full of Roses of course)
Had a good time over the weekend, catching up and checking out the town and area. Tara decided that shoveling sand into her mouth with her hands took way too long and instead just settled for face planting and saving time.
After some good times, we headed off on the Sunday for Bendigo to visit Narelle and break up our return trip. Flynn really enjoyed the trip on the tram on Monday morning before we headed back home.
Whew! long weekend. 4 and a bit days, 2000+ km with kids in the car
(although with the use of the tent, we were able to travel pretty light for once and didn't even take the roof box)
