Clutterbub2 birthday - blow by blow account

Have to be at the hospital early (7am) to ensure that induction things get started before the night shift goes home, not a problem when Flynn wakes up at 0530. (thanks little alarm clock)

Got in there on time and Melissa the midwife put the tracer on Sandra to ensure that all is well with bub2.
Shortly after they did an examination and announce that (unlike last time) she won't need any gel and they then proceeded to break her waters around 8am.

A while after that an intern started to put the cannula in for the syntocin drip but couldn't find the right vein and went off to to find a doctor who could.
Eventually everything was setup correctly and contractions had started occurring.
Bit of a worry watching the tracer of bub2's heartbeat and contractions after the problems with Flynn especially when heartbeat says anywhere from 60-220 at times???
As before, the contraction pain gave Sandra a really bad backache and around 1120 she started on the gas (I had a go, weird stuff) although Sandra couldn't determine if it made things any better.
When we asked our midwife, she reckoned 1430 for the birth.
Around 1145, the pain was really starting to hit hard and Sandra asked for an epidural only to be told that there were currently two other women in front of her and it would be about 45mins before they could get to her.
Around 1210, she had some really large and painful contractions (big screams down the gas line) and said that she was feeling the large pressure down below that the midwife had told her to be aware of so I buzzed the midwife to come and check on her.
5 mins later, no midwife so press the button again but still nothing.
All of a sudden, Sandra says that she thinks something has happened and when I check, there's a head halfway out.
Run out into the corridor to find the midwife, no sign of her but there were some interns, told them that my wife needs help now as she's having a baby. Get the look that says 'over-reacting dad', tell them, 'No! I can see the head shes having a baby now'
They start to say that they'll get someone and I tell them that they'll do and to get in there right now.

They come in (having snared a doctor on the way) and we've got a baby girl within a few minutes.
