A weeks perspective

What a difference it makes,

last week the papers were full of the tragedy of 29 homes being burnt around Boolarra....this week it's hardly a blip on the radar.

The start of Sep2001 was about Australia refusing a refugee ship....a week later 9/11 had happened.

I'm finding it amazing what's considered news and what is considered important.

It is also very like that exercise where you get asked a series of questions and rate the impact of each one on your life (before hearing the next) on a scale of 1-10, like:

- What if you found you'd lost $20? (pick a rating, then go to next question)

- What if you lost $1000-?

- What if you lost your job?

- What if your house burnt down?

- What if your pet died?

- What if a friend died?

- What if a relative died?

- What if a member of your immediate family died?

- What rating would you now give for losing $20?
