Some initial thoughts about the stories we'd heard about travelling with Americans were quickly dispelled as they proved absolutely wonderful to be around and talk to (though we did think that Penny seemingly having a new change of clothes every day was a fair effort).
Anyway, Penny said/promised that she was going to send us a few things after they got home but being in the occasional promising mood ourselves (ie I'll upload the photo's for everyone to look at asap after getting home.....still haven't done Vietnam, Nepal and India), we thought they were lovely sentiments and left it at that.
Imagine our surprise when the day I left for France, we received a package from them, containing 3 books they liked and though we'd like. Most generous of them, thanx guys.
But wait there's more......
On the day I arrived home from France, there was a package to pickup from the post office, it too was from Robert and Penny.
And it weighed about 15kg........
Upon opening it, we found it stuffed with numerous, individually wrapped 'presents', each of them with a short message to us about it and why they had selected it to send to us.
(there was even things for Sam)
We were just blown away by their generosity and thoughtfulness.
