We're in......Look out world

Well here we are, we have our glaringly orange uniforms on (and our PPE) and have even stood in front of an impressive looking truck to show that we are now officially members of the Queanbeyan SES.
We've passed our induction course, our general rescue and even our comms course tonight.
We're having a pretty good time with all the training and so forth however the uniforms can be a tad hot when it's 35 degrees outside.

Apparently a lot of time is spent preparing and not much doing, even when we're out on jobs however it's good to be learning some new skills that are more valuable than sitting in front of a computer all day.
